It's a new day for time trial bikes at Trofeo Ses Salines as EF Education-EasyPost unveils the all-new Cannondale SuperSlice. Just one month into 2026, the race is on with Tudor Pro Cycling and EF Education-EasyPost spotted testing their new time trial bikes at Trofeo Ses Salines in Mallorca. Stefan Kung was seen riding a potential all-new BMC Timemachine, while the entire EF Education-EasyPost team raced on unmistakable new Cannondale SuperSlices in Lab71 guise.
The Cannondale SuperSlice Disc, originally launched in 2017 and updated in 2021, has taken a new direction, adopting a SystemSix-inspired look with time-trial extensions. Limited availability in the UK, with distribution focused on Europe and the United States, reflects its specialized nature. The bike's design aligns with the best time trial trends, but the increased emphasis on time trials in WorldTour events for 2026 and beyond has prompted Cannondale to rethink its time trial bike research and development.
The new SuperSlice's clean-slate design signals a clear shift for the American company. Based on the Lab71 nomenclature, the frame architecture is likely made of Series 0 carbon fiber, promising a lighter ride than its predecessor. The tube shapes are sculptural, featuring a deep, reprofiled head tube, a chunkier fork, and an optimized rear end and seat tube cutout. The bikes are painted black, with white Cannondale wordmark logos on the downtubes.
The most notable change is the adoption of a newer mono-stack basebar with Vision Metron TFE Evo extensions, making the front end more aerodynamic. Vision also handles the wheels, which take the form of a Metron TFW disc and front system.
