NHH's new clinic, located on the 2nd floor near the Maternal/Child Inpatient Unit, offers a comprehensive and coordinated approach to antenatal, postpartum, and newborn care. This innovative program officially launches on Monday, January 19, 2026, and is set to revolutionize the way healthcare is delivered to expecting mothers and their newborns.
Key Features of the NPR Clinic:
- By Appointment Only: The clinic operates on a booked appointment basis, ensuring personalized care and efficient service.
- Dedicated Space: Two exam rooms and a comfortable waiting area on 2A provide a welcoming environment for patients.
- Operating Hours: The clinic is open on weekdays - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday - from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Who Benefits from the NPR Clinic?
- Obstetrical Patients: Expectant mothers under the care of NHH's delivering providers can access specialized services.
- Newborns: From birth to 6 weeks, newborns, including those recently discharged from NHH, receive essential care and monitoring.
- Postpartum Care: The clinic offers wound assessment and hypertension management for postpartum patients.
- Expectant Patients: Those requiring RhoGAM, Non-Stress Tests (NST), bloodwork, or blood pressure monitoring can receive these services at the clinic.
- Early Pregnancy Complications: Follow-up care for patients experiencing early pregnancy complications is available.
- Community and Specialty Resources: The clinic provides education and guidance to connect patients with community and specialty resources.
Referrals and Access:
All patients must book an appointment with an NHH provider. It's important to note that for patients without OHIP coverage, some services may incur fees.
